Hi, I'm Nathan Edwards, and on November 7 of 2010 I became the pastor of First Christian Church...

I love the gospel of Jesus Christ with a passion: the Bible calls it the power of God for salvation to all who believe. No other message on earth can give life to a world that is spiritually dead, separated from God by our sins. But by the sacrificial death and triumphant resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, we can be forgiven of sin, reconciled to a God who loves us, and freed from guilt and fear. This is a message worth living and dying for.

My wife Alissa and I grew up, went to college, met, fell in love, and got married in Michigan. We went to seminary at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, IL, where I received an M.Div. and Alissa an M.A. in May 2009. After a year interning at Midland Evangelical Free Church back in Midland, MI, we received the call to come down to lead the church here in Mooreland.

We have three (usually) adorable children, James, Anna, and Evangeline. We like playing outside, playing music all together (think joyful noise), practicing Taekwondo, and reading books.

After five years of growing and serving, worshiping, grieving, celebrating, and living with the congregation of First Christian Church and the wider community of Mooreland and beyond, we can genuinely say it is a privilege to serve among such a caring and godly faith family.
